From the interview chair to the office boardroom, this discussion will focus on going beyond simply building a more diverse workforce, to strengthening the work environment in which it exists. How small and large businesses create more inclusive workplaces and strategies to increase staff retention and satisfaction will be among the key topics discussed.

This session is the second of a three-part Diversity, Inclusion, Equity & Belonging (DIEB) Series, as part of the Board’s commitment to building more inclusive workplaces and cultures. The series focuses on a multi-pronged process of recruiting diverse talent, creating a positive and inclusive work environment and having accountability tools for the long-term. Our goal is for participants to know how to get candidates through the door and into a culture of positivity, openness, and respect. Future sessions will explore strategic planning for fostering equitable work environments after the recruitment phase, workplace accountability, and considerations for small businesses.
