As COVID-19 restrictions ease and businesses look to reopen their doors, organizations representing over 100,000 companies have launched a Canada-wide campaign aimed at keeping customers, employees and communities safe, and to build trust as the economy recovers.
The POST Promise (short for “People Outside Safely Together”) is a pledge business owners and managers take by adopting five key steps to help stop the spread of the coronavirus. Businesses who make the promise are then able to use and display POST Promise signage, at no cost, as a clear indication that they are doing their part to protect Canadians’ health and safety – all with the support of the newly formed POST Promise Corporation.
This campaign is a business-led initiative, and is being championed by business organizations across the country – including the Toronto Region Board of Trade. At this webcast, you’ll hear more about the benefits of making the promise, and be able to ask questions to two business leaders also on the POST Promise Steering Committee:
Goldy Hyder, President and CEO of the Business Council of Canada – an organization representing 150 leading Canadian businesses that employ 1.7 million Canadians. Goldy has extensive experience in strategic communications and public affairs, leading the BCC since 2018.
Shaun Francis, Chair and CEO of Medcan – a global leader in helping clients live happier, healthier lives by partnering with them to achieve their specific health and wellness goals. In 2014, Shaun was awarded the Veterans Affairs Commendation for contributing in an exemplary manner to the care and well-being of veterans, and in 2016 was awarded the Meritorious Service Cross by Canada’s Governor General.
