Smart Cities in Canada: A Market for Growth

  • Event Date:
  • Event Time:
  • Registration:
  • Location:
  • Room:

Building on the Trade Commissioner Service in Europe’s initiative to support Canadian companies gaining foundational and progressive access to European markets, the World Trade Centre Toronto is hosting a panel to highlight the potential of Canadian markets for European companies as a possible expansion destination.

To further Canadian cities’ “ease of doing business” positioning, we have invited representatives from six Canadian centres to present and demonstrate how different competitive hubs, innovative facilities, and smart cities’ technologies can foster collaboration and growth for European enterprises in Canada.

Central to the discussions will be how established and burgeoning EU companies can leverage highly digitized business landscapes, community-driven events and leagues, and robust regulatory frameworks to position themselves to establish growth, and efficiently bring their products and services to Canadian markets. Register to secure your spot today!

Speakers:

  • Michael Manocha, Director of Investor Services, Invest in Canada
  • Alberto Velasco-Acosta, Director of Foreign Direct Investment, Yes Winnipeg
  • Megan Zimmerman, Director, Business Development, Calgary Economic Development
  • Philippe Valentine, Director de Projets – Europe, Montreal International
  • Bart Deelen, Senior Advisor, Investment Attraction Europe, Toronto Global
  • Peter Wright, Business Development Manager, Vancouver Economic Commission
