Every member binds him/herself to abide by the rules, bylaws and regulations of the Board upon membership activation. Failure to adhere to the following rules may result suspension or termination of membership.

Membership Database

It is important for us to have your current details in our membership database. If your contact or payment details change, please let the Membership Department know via email at membership@bot.com or by contacting your Relationship Manager.

Rights & Privileges of Membership

Members are entitled to all membership tier rights and privileges and are bound by these rules. Members shall have no proprietary rights in any of the premises or in respect of property of the Board.


The Board and all staff members pledge to maintain all records and personal information concerning the members and their guests in the strictest confidence.

Disciplinary Procedure

Conduct that is harmful to the Board’s reputation and character or willful removal, damage or destruction of Board, member or guest property on the premises may result in expulsion from the premises and/or membership termination. A refund of a terminated membership will be issued at the Board’s discretion. A terminated member may not return to the Board as a guest.

Membership Workplace Rules

The Toronto Region Board of Trade encourages members to use the Business Innovation Centre and Steelcase WorkLounge, while adhering to our house rules.


Business Innovation Centre and Steelcase WorkLounge are reserved for member use only.
Members must be present with their guests and are responsible for ensuring they follow all rules and policies.


Please refrain from communicating any information about any member’s private events or meetings occurring at the Board to third parties.

Mobile Phones

Members are encouraged to take phone calls away from the Business Centre.

Recording Devices & Noise Levels

No cameras, video or recording devices may be used while in the Business Centre or the WorkLounge. Videos, music, internet calls and presentations must only be played through headphones and should not be audible to any other member or guest present.

Food & Beverages

Please refrain from bringing in any outside food or beverages. Please inform Oliver & Bonacini if you require any cleaning services, by contacting 416-364-1211.


No animals will be allowed at the Board except for assistance dogs.

Smoking & Illegal Substances

Smoking and distribution/use of illegal substances on the Board’s premises is strictly prohibited.

Liability of the Board

The Board is not liable to any member or guest for any loss, damage or injury suffered by them or their property how so ever caused, save in event of death or personal injury to a member or guest caused by the negligence of the Board. This is not intended to affect any mandatory rights you have under local law that we cannot legally restrict or exclude.

Amendments to House Rules

The Proprietor may change the rules of the Business Innovation Centre and the Lounge by displaying notification of the change on the Board’s premises for a period of seven days. A copy of these rules will be made available to all members upon reasonable notice.
