World Trade Centre Toronto Launches Executive Certificates Program Aimed at Empowering Canadian Entrepreneurs

A group of confident people.

TORONTO, November 03, 2022— Today, the Toronto Region Board of Trade’s World Trade Centre Toronto launched its Executive Certificates Program, a series of in-depth and practical one-day programs covering specific topics related to global trade and business growth.

The Executive Certificates Program aims to empower Canadian entrepreneurs who want to export their products and services to new markets or effectively scale their businesses through half- and full-day in-person workshops and mentorship from world-class experts.

Business leaders who enroll in Executive Certificate Programs will gain detailed business skills and improve their understanding of specific topics related to international trade and growth. The content selected for these programs is based on feedback from more than 2,000 Canadian companies who are navigating a rapidly evolving business landscape.

“This innovative program is designed for entrepreneurs, enabling them to develop tailored business strategies that leverage their unique products or services into planned business growth,” said Leigh Smout, President, World Trade Centre Toronto. “Each company will gain deep knowledge of the subject under review, enhancing their competitive advantage.”

Upcoming Session:

The inaugural one-day Executive Certificate session on ‘International Sales’, will bring together training, expertise and resources for companies seeking to expand their operations and become more competitive globally. This in-person session will take place on November 7, 2022, and will cover the following topics:

  • Navigating cultural differences in sales
  • Improving the sales processes
  • Aligning market entry strategies

Eligibility Requirements:

The Executive Certificate session is open to companies that:

  • Export a product, service, or technologies and want to diversify its export market or are exploring the possibility of expanding their business internationally
  • Operating for at least 2 years
  • Offer an attractive value proposition
