A healthy environment to create business
We believe the best way to create jobs, wealth and a healthy tax base is to provide a healthy environment in which to do business.

Through an effective volunteer working group structure, The Toronto Board of Trade lobbies proactively on behalf of its members – debating policy and program directions with government, and assisting in the development of government initiatives. Membership on policy working groups is by invitation, with members selected from qualifying membership classes based on the individual’s qualifications and experience. Membership on a policy working group is limited to no more than one representative from any one company, to ensure a wide representation of input and views. If you are interested in volunteering for one of these policy working groups, please submit your resume/cv to volunteer@bot.com.  Please be sure to outline the areas of volunteering that most interest you and your full contact information.  All submissions are reviewed on a monthly basis and follow-up with the applicants will take place at that time.

The Toronto Board of Trade has advocated for business property tax reform, education reform and financing, economic development, local governance, and an efficient and sustainable physical infrastructure, to name a few.
