Ira Bailey

My name: Ira Bailey
My occupation: Sales and Management Consultant
What I really like to do: Hockey, tennis, golf and my pets. I am on the Board of Directors of a Bio Med company and often provide start up companies with free consulting services to help get them on the right business track.
I've been a member of the Board of Trade since: November of 2003 and am also currently a member of the Vancouver Board of Trade and past member of the Ottawa Board of Trade.
I became an Ambassador for the Board of Trade because: I believe in what the Board stands for and have first hand knowledge of the value of being a Board member. I enjoy talking to and assisting the new members and attending functions whenever possible and being involved in some of the processes that are having an impact on the future of Toronto. On a personal level I see the position as exciting and interesting and as an opportunity to build my business network.

David Cooke

My name:  David Cooke, but my friends know me as Cookie
My occupation: Associate Broker, Qualified Financial Services, Toronto.
I am a life and disability insurance broker here in Toronto, specializing in financial planning for my business and professional clients. Using some of the most advanced economic technology available, my work exceeds basic savings/retirement planning, and provides my clients with a powerful vision for lifelong financial wellness and abundance.
What I really like to do is: A split personality here; part of me loving city life and all its offerings, especially in a great city like Toronto, but I also love the outdoors, fresh air, and nature. I run, curl, ski, and golf poorly. I love good food, and enjoy nothing better than entertaining a group of friends at my home along with my fiancé Chantal and our dog Abby. In fall 2004, I plan to learn the lost art of auctioneering.
I’ve been a member of the Board of Trade since: 2001
I became an Ambassador for the Board of Trade because: The Toronto Board of Trade is a progressive, dynamic organization, attracting some of the best business and professional minds in the GTA. By welcoming and involving these great people in the many services and events the board has to offer, the benefits of membership arrive sooner. As well, I love meeting new people.

My Name: Mona El Sayeh
My Occupation: Principal, Phoenix Performance Group
What I really Like To Do: I like to help people realize their full potential. Most of us spend more time working than with our families and friends, or just having fun. Too many of us spend our entire day doing something we don't enjoy. Wouldn't it be great if we could get paid for doing something that truly engaged our hearts and minds?
Another passion of mine is conflict resolution. I am completing a certificate in Dispute Resolution at the University of Toronto.
I’ve been a Member of the Board Of Trade Since: 2002
I Became an Ambassador for the Board Of Trade because: I believe that the Board of Trade is a one-stop shop for business. Everything is here: networking events, educational seminars, great resource materials and wonderful facilities. I've attended numerous events at all three venues and have always found everything to be professionally run and well-organized. It's great to be able to use the worksite between meetings - it helps me use my time more effectively. I've also met a lot of wonderful Board members and staff.  Another reason I became an ambassador is that I love Toronto and want to contribute to the success of its business community.
