The Toronto Board of Trade is pleased to present our first annual
policy report, From World Class to World Leader: An Action
Plan for the Toronto Region.
This landmark report outlines our policy and advocacy priorities for
2010, based on input from thousands of Toronto Board of Trade members
and stakeholders. More important, An Action Plan for the
Toronto Region presents a focused plan for positioning the
Toronto region as a word-leading jurisdiction in which to live, work and
invest.
This report builds on findings from Toronto
as a Global City: Scorecard on Prosperity.
Released in April 2009, the Scorecard measured, for the first time, the
performance of the Toronto region against 20 other great global cities.
The results revealed that Toronto has many strengths but still has work
to do in order to become a global leader.
All members and supporters of the Board of Trade are encouraged to
read this report. Share it with colleagues and contacts. Use it as a
foundation for discussion on our collective ambitions for our city.
